Mineral sunscreens use physical minerals — zinc and titanium dioxide — to shield skin from a spectrum of light rays, including UVA and UVB. These mineral sun filters sit on top of the skin, acting as a skin veil to reflect sun rays away unlike chemical sunscreens which absorb into skin.
