Delicious and Nutritious: Immunity Plus Smoothie Bowls

We love a good smoothie bowl. Check out this honestly easy recipe from our friend Amy Palanjian of Yummy Toddler Food. Made with an extra sprinkle of vitamins, these bowls are a delicious (and nutritious!) way to start your day.

Maintaining a healthy immune system is important for the whole family and the foods you eat play an key role in this. My daughter and I love to start the day with these fruit-filled Smoothie Bowls and lately I’ve been mixing in a packet of Immunity Plus for an extra blend of vitamins and organic botanicals. Made with a simple combination of fruit, milk, and optional add-ins and toppings, you can easily customize these bowls to meet the preferences of everyone in your home.

Since I’m also pregnant, my daily diet has an even greater importance to me as I try to eat the best foods I can for my growing baby. This is one of my favorite ways to get a solid dose of nutrition in a super convenient form.

We live in the Midwest where it’s chilly at this time of year and these smoothie bowls are cold, but not overly icy. Here’s how I make a batch to feed myself and my daughter.

Immunity Plus Smoothie Bowls

1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)

1 cup frozen blueberries or mixed berries

1 banana, sliced

1 packet Immunity Plus

Optional add ins: 1 scoop protein powder, 1/2 cup yogurt, 1 tablespoon chia seeds, and/or 1 handful baby spinach

Optional toppings: granola, sliced banana, additional frozen berries, shredded unsweetened coconut, pumpkin seeds, and/or dried fruit.

Place the milk, berries, and 1/2 of the banana into a blender. Add the package of Immunity Plus, along with any other add-ins you are using. Blend until very smooth. Pour into bowls and top with granola, fruit, seeds, or coconut as you like. Serve immediately.
