National Watermelon Day has passed, but we can’t help but share one more way to serve up this mega melon. Today Dzung Lewis, of Honeysuckle, is here with a less-is-more recipe you’ll just have to try!
I recently visited my good friend Aislin, who not only produces her own fresh honey from Honey Bees but also grows a variety of vegetables and raises chickens, all in her beautiful backyard! At dinner that evening, she served us Watermelon with Lime Zest and fresh Honey on top. I thought to myself — how genius! This simple flavor combination was a completely new taste experience for me and so, of course, I had to recreate it for you below. Thanks for the inspiration, Aislin! xoxo
Watermelon + Lime + Honey
Ingredients
1 small watermelon
1 lime for zesting
Organic Honey
Instructions
- Cut the watermelon into thick wedge slices.
- Zest the lime over the slices.
- Drizzle with honey, and enjoy!
