Dishing Things Up with Farm To Table Baby Mama

Dishing Things Up with Farm To Table Baby Mama

It’s fitting that Patricia Wong’s new name is Farm to Table Baby Mama. Much like the tasty dishes she prepares and documents on her Web site, she created her own recipe for success by trusting her gut and trading corporate work for an inspired life in the kitchen.

“After my kids were born, I became more passionate about creating meals for them. I started getting recipe requests from the moms in my baby group. I even had one mom tell me she’d taken her family to a popular Italian restaurant, but her son still requested ‘Patricia’ pasta! From there, I got really excited about finding a way to share the recipes I was making for my own family,” she remembers. Then, some instructional videos turned into a full-time creative job — and it only involved a few ingredients: a dream; a love of fresh food and family; and YouTube.

From fig, pear, and carrot purée to one-pot roasted chicken and vegetable sushi, Patricia shows us how to make simple and elegant meals while keeping it real (yes, there’s a video about hiding veggies in quiche and another on apple pie). She swears parents don’t have to be professional chefs to enjoy cooking with their kids. “Even if you can barely boil water,” the self-proclaimed home cook says, “cooking with your kids is an amazing bonding experience. Half the fun comes from making mistakes and learning together!” It’s this honest approach to making meals that captured our attention and appetite.
